Well and Sewer Improvement Program
The Well and Sewer Improvement Program provides replacement or rehabilitation of outdated or malfunctioning well & septic systems. The program can also be used to install new systems for newly built homes. Well and Sewer program can also assist with the cost to connect to municipal water or sewer system. The program cannot repair water or sewer connections to the city.
Eligibility requirements:
- Must be enrolled member in a federally recognized tribe (not necessarily Pokagon Band)
- Receive inspection and approval by the IHS Office of Environmental Health and Engineering
- Property must be in service area
- Tribal Member’s name must be listed on deed or land contract.
This program is not income based.
