Rental Assistance Program
(with the exception of students)

The Rental Assistance Program provides opportunities for income-eligible Pokagon Band Citizens to afford a safe and decent rental unit. The Department of Housing will provide a monthly rental subsidy up to $250.00 with the maximum of 3 years.

Eligibility requirements:

  1. Enrolled Pokagon Band Member 18ys or older, a Non- Pokagon Band Member who have custody of minor Pokagon Band children in the household or a Pokagon Band Member who is an emancipated minor.

  2. Meet low income requirements.

  3. Agrees to comply with the Household Plan of Action, including attending mandatory monthly meeting, financial management and budgeting classes.

  4. Live within the 10 county services area

  5. Rental must pass rental unit inspection preformed by Department of Housing

  6. Does not owe debt to tribe
