Home Ownership Program
The Home Ownership Program provides opportunities to income-eligible Pokagon Band Citizens to purchase their own homes through down payment and closing cost assistance.
The Pokagon Band Department of Housing will provide down payment assistance up to $30,000.00 and closing cost assistance up to $2,500.00.
Eligibility requirements:
- Enrolled Pokagon Band Member 18ys or older, a Non- Pokagon Band Member who have custody of minor Pokagon Band children in the household or a Pokagon Band Member who is an emancipated minor.
- Meet low income requirements.
- Applicant must have a 620 credit score or above.
- Complete homeownership classes
- Pass home inspection performed by Housing Building Official
- Loan must be 30yr or 15 yr fixed.
- House located in the 10 county services area.
- Does not owe debt to tribe
