Training and Development

The Pokagon Band can provide financial and other resources to eligible Native American adults seeking assistance with employment skills and training. Enrollment for these services is ongoing, and the services are funded through two main sources: the Department of Labor (Workforce Investment Act) and the Bureau of Indian Affairs.

Adult Work Experience Training

The Adult Work Experience program places Pokagon citizens, spouses, and custodial parents in jobs at the tribe to provide participants with real work experience and steady income. We will be opening several adult work experience positions this year. Please check our careers page regularly to view possible openings. If you have any questions, please contact Traci Henslee, workforce training & resource specialist, at (269) 462-4227.

Four Winds Training Opportunities

Pokagon citizens, spouses, custodial parents, and employees of the Band are invited to attend training provided by our Four Winds Casinos. Please contact Ruth Froberg at least one week prior to a class if interested in participating. Ruth can be reached by phone at (269) 462-4337.
