Sovereignty Day Celebration
We’re excited to celebrate the 23rd anniversary of the tribe’s federal reaffirmation at our Sovereignty Day event Saturday, September 23 at Four Winds Field in South Bend. A few things in preparation for the day:
Parking will be available in Lots A, B, and H (which is across Western Avenue north of Four Winds Field near the VA Clinic). Elders should plan to park in Lots A or B. Tribal Police will be on hand to help direct you to parking spots, and golf carts will shuttle folks who need extra help to and from the Field.
Enter Four Winds Field on the northwest side of the Field through Gates E or F, which are near the Budweiser Picnic Garden.
Four tables will be set up near the entrances for check in. Here you can register for raffle drawings, grab a schedule for the day, and pick up your Sovereignty Day swag. Make sure you have your tribal ID, and those of every Pokagon in your family. If you did not register online ahead of time, please still plan to attend. There will be enough food and gifts for all.
